I joined the lovely Sheppey B2R in 2020 after we had come out of lockdown. Even though I had run socially before I was really nervous that I could do it as I had recently had a foot operation and didn’t think I would run again. Julie and her Team leaders were so encouraging that by week 6 I was running 5K again.

I then moved to Maidstone a year later and met Laura at the Grove Green club, became a team leader and have loved every minute of it. I have made so many lovely friends on this journey, done a few half of marathons and we regularly meet up on the weekends to go for runs and breakfast.

I am super excited to head up this club and give back to others what it has given me.
