Nicola

I have been a member since
2019. I joined as a runner. I was finding it difficult to motivate myself to get out on my own, so a friend recommended I join B2R. Running as part of a group was perfect to keep me running regularly, and as a bonus I have made some amazing friends.

Fast forward to 2021, after the loss of my Dad, I needed a goal, something to focus on, so I signed up for my first marathon for charity in his memory. With the amazing support of my running friends from club, I achieved that goal. If I can do it, any one can!
Whatever your goal, it was so much easier with the support of my club mates behind me. This is when I became a team leader as I wanted to give something back.

My running highlight was my third marathon in 2023. Unlike previous years when I was the one struggling, I was able to give support to others who were struggling in the final miles. I will never forget putting my arms around a struggling runner coming up to the finish and helping them over the line. Whether your goal is to reach your first 5k, a longer distance, or simply to get out of the door each week, myself and the rest of the team are here to support you and can’t wait to seeing you reach those goals.

Everyone’s running journey is personal, and you shouldn’t feel pressured by others, take it at your pace, and progress listening to your body.

You can meet me and your future club mates by joining our fun, vibrant, social online Facebook group before even stepping out of the door.

If you’re not on Facebook, don’t worry, our office team are on hand to help you with any queries and I look to meeting you at a club session soon!
