Our members were out in force at the Big Half with lots of them completing the race, some for the first time! Here is what some of them had to say.....
These photo sums up what I believe B2R is all about. This is Alan’s first half marathon. We decided as a group that we would do the The Big Half, we trained as a group and supported everyone from start to finish. I was struggling - it was SO hot and so was Alan, but in true B2R style we got each other to the end. I love these photos and will keep them as a memory of a tough, hot yet rewarding day with my B2R family - Roberta B2R Bexleyheath
Well I did it, 1/2 marathon completed! Furthest I've ever run and the hottest weather I've run in
. I am so proud of myself, I had to walk sections due to the heat but still a good time. Lots of people collapsing today
Thank you so much for all of your support. Never thought I'd achieve this distance when I started Jan 2023. You all keep me motivated and believing that I can actually run

So.. today I ran the Big Half, it was hard work and boiling hot, but I did it! Two weeks ago I was adamant that I wasn't going! But with the support from certain people and a stern talking to myself I went and I conquered it! It was bloody hot 26 degrees to be precise. But the point here is, don't give up and know you're worth and continue to keep going! 21km, 13.1 miles in 3hrs 34 mins, to me I'm proud of that and will continue to be proud!
Thank-you so much to
Kirsty Humphreys and
Dominique Field Price for you're support. You've helped more than you would ever know! Also thank you for letting me travel with you kirsty.

Homework completed today was the big half and wow what a half marathon this is, it was so fun but the weather was hot won’t lie, the amount of times I wanted to give up but didn’t, just stopped and walked for a little to try and get shade from the sun just carried on pushing my self through, I was so glad to have finished it, think I wanted to cry in the amount exhausting I felt from the heat Channelle also did the big half and smashed it too saw some fellow B2Rs from Bexleyheath who I was cheering on along the way Kirsty - B2R Sittingbourne
